Using your eye drops
General information. Follow the individual instructions from your treating team. These pages do not prescribe treatment or replace an examination.
Step by step
- Check the medicine, correct eye and expiry date, then wash your hands. Shake only if the product instructions require it.
- Tilt your head and gently lower the bottom lid. Apply the prescribed number of drops without touching the eye or lashes with the bottle tip.
- Close the eye gently and press lightly at its inner corner for 30–60 seconds. Do not press on the eyeball.
- Leave at least five minutes between different drops. Apply ointment after drops, leaving a five-minute gap.
- Follow the product’s storage and after-opening expiry instructions; these vary. Never share drops.
